The day of love

Seeing a man with a rose in his hand walking down the street is a nice view, don't you think?
If you agree with me you would have to come to Catalonia during Saint Jorge day. Here, in this region of my country, there's a tradition that comes from a beautiful story about a cavalier, a princess and a dragon. The thing is that every 23th of April women are used to receive a rose from their men and those men are usually rewarded with a book from their respective women.
Each rose bought by a man in love becomes a smile when it is handed to that woman. Sometimes becomes a kiss. Sometimes becomes a hug.
The result is the fantastic view of a mobile shop of roses and books in every corner of the city, lots of couples having a walk close to each other, young shy boys buying their first rose to the girl they are in love, grandmas receiving roses from all the family, mums buying their children a tale of adventures instead of a novel, and finally, the feature of the day which I enjoy the most: bumping into thousands of men holding a rose.
So that, last month in this date I took with me the camera and I tried to catch the essence of the tradition. Maybe, after seeing this you'll come to Catalonia (Barcelona) next year ;)

Sweet break

Between the study of a subject and the study of another, this weekend I allowed myself to make a snack such as those that give you strength to go on with any task. You'll be delighted to try it ;)
